Travel + Leisure Co. renews its commitment to responsible tourism with the publication of the new ESG report

ORLANDO, Florida – (COMMERCIAL LINE) – Travel + Leisure Co. (NYSE: TNL), the world’s leading leisure travel and membership company, recently released its 2021-2022 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. The report details the progress made over the past year on key corporate social responsibility priorities and commitments, highlighting the company’s strategy to positively impact the world through responsible tourism.

As a leader in the global leisure travel industry, Travel + Leisure Co. has further refined its approach to proactively advancing environmental, social and governance standards across its business. In its 2021-2022 ESG Report, the company shares its progress towards environmental and social objectives and governance, activated through the ESG Travel + Leisure Co. Full Circle program. Some key areas of interest include:

  • Through its WYND Green certification program, the company’s vacation ownership business continues to implement efficiency projects and explore reusable energy consumption at its resorts. In 2021, an agreement was made for an off-site community solar program in Portland, Oregon, and two resorts were prepared for solar panel installations.

  • Advances towards the company’s 2025 greenhouse gas reduction target (Scope 1 and Scope 2) drive an ongoing commitment to support an urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.

  • The company is actively strengthening inclusion and diversity among its associates, customers and suppliers. A growing number of diverse executives have strengthened the company’s leadership team, with robust internal development programs and ongoing recruiting efforts driving wider representation. Launched in May 2021, Traveller’s Pledge is the company’s Code of Conduct for its owners, members and guests that allows resort teams to deliver fantastic vacation experiences in a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.

  • Last summer, the company launched the Travel + Leisure Charitable Foundation and initiated the Travel + Leisure Eatonville Scholarship Program in partnership with the Orange County, Florida School Board. Through corporate, in-kind and associated donations, over $ 1.1 million was donated to communities in 2021.
